Baby care lotion at dm will be called back
The drugstore chain dm has launched a recall campaign for the baby care lotion from its own brand alverde. Inflammation could be promoted by the presence of yeasts, the manufacturer warned. Given the sensitive skin of babies, use is strongly discouraged.
With the "Baby care lotion organic shea butter organic chamomile" (200 ml) it cannot be excluded that yeast is occasionally contained, according to dm. Although the risk of health effects is "very low, the use of the product can favor inflammation for sensitive consumers." As a precaution, the baby care lotion is being recalled, reports the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety on its portal "lebensmittelwarnung.de".
Inflammation on sensitive skin
Since the yeasts contained can favor inflammation in sensitive people and it is a care lotion for babies, the drugstore chain has decided to recall the article "alverde baby care lotion organic shea butter organic chamomile" as a precaution. All batches of the product are affected - regardless of the best before date.
Return against reimbursement of the purchase price
Consumers are asked not to use the lotion and to return it to the dm stores unopened or already opened. Here the purchase price will of course be reimbursed to them. "We regret the incident and apologize to you for the inconvenience," said dm. (fp)
